I'm Andrea and this is my research project. Since 2023, I've held a Research Agreement with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, which means the Ministry has reviewed my research proposal and Royal Roads University's Ethical Review Board Approval, and supports the work.
As a former youth in care, I understand connecting to youth is challenging. I believe in the potential and resilience of youth in care, and I believe in the necessity of this study.

To better understand and promote resilience during disasters, the Just Another Rupture research project aims to explore the experiences of youth in the child welfare system who have also endured a disaster.
